The Edward B. Lindaman Center was housed in the former Whitworth College Music Building, built during WWII. The building’s renovation was made possible by a grant of $600,000 from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust in 1980. The purpose of the Center was to offer enrichment programs to the public and to specific organizations and professions. Biographical NoteEdward B. Lindaman (1920-1982) became president of Whitworth College in 1970 and retired in 1980. He came to Whitworth from North American Rockwell where he was director of programming for the Apollo space project.
